Easy Capsicum/Bell Peppers Recipe

My quick capsicum recipe will give your body the feeling of appreciating your long hours in gym physically n mentally both! Presenting an Easy to Make and Super Healthy dish for the health conscious zone. Capsicum is low in fat and has zero cholestrol!




Prep time: 5 mins
Cooking time - 20 mins

Ingredients:

Capsicum/bell peppers - 3 big chopped and washed
Onion - 1 big chopped
Garlic - 10 flakes - chopped
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Chilly powder - 1 tsp (you can adjust it as per your taste or skip it altogether!)
Salt as per taste
Oil - 1 tbsp
Cumin Seed/jeera - 1 tsp
Mustard seed - 1 tsp

Besan/chickpea flour
Lemon juice - 1 tsp


Process:

Heat the oil in a wok. Add cumin seed and mustard seed and let it splutter.

Add onion and garlic and cook for 2-3 mins till it turns translucent


Now add capsicum, salt, turmeric powder and chilly powder and give it a good stir. Cover and cook till the capsicum is soft for about 10 mins. Keep stirring in between though

Add besan little by little and keep stirring so that it mixes well without any lumps.


Now let it cook for 10 mins till the raw smell of besan goes away. Add lemon juice and serve hot with phulkas or as a side dish along with rice.




Tips:
1. Use colored bell peppers if you like
2. You can add any pav bhaji or kitchen king masala to add more flavor
